In the morning, transfer from the hotel to the Caribe Tours bus station. The driver will take care of your bus tickets. (Departures 4x daily)

The journey takes approx. 3:15 hours.

Drive along the coastal road out of town to San Cristóbal. The villages are surrounded by mango and breadfruit trees, coconut palms and bananas. After Bani, the road leads uphill through increasingly barren land. Columnar cacti and yellow-flowering agaves grow here. In Hatillo you will see the “Bahia de Ocoa”. The road leads into the mountains, through a dry and stony land dotted with cacti and agaves. Then a wide view opens up of the great Rio Yaque del Sur with palm trees in the river valley. It is the only river oasis in this dry area. You reach the provincial capital of Barahona, located on the “Bahia de Neiba”. This is your base for the next three days. The famous pirate Cofresí is said to have had his hideout here. You will be picked up at the bus station in Barahona and taken to your hotel.

We will be waiting for you on arrival and take you to your chosen hotel.

Garden of Eden - Walk in the heart of the fruit and vegetable garden and discover the villages of the Sierra de Bahoruco region.
