Half day city tour Santo Domingo

Today you will get to know the first European city in America. This is where the first cathedral was built, the first bishop was consecrated, the first governor resided and the first hospital was opened. The lively city with its three million inhabitants has a wealth of cultural sights and architectural sites that cannot be found anywhere else on Hispaniola. You will visit the historic colonial city, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The tour will take you to the city's many historical buildings and sites. You will visit palaces, fortresses, museums, churches and squares. Among other things, you will visit the famous “Alcazar de Colon” and the first cathedral of the “New World”. At the end of the tour, enjoy the pedestrian zone “El Conde”, where you will see many stores and street vendors.
