Humpback whales in natural habitat
Every year from January to the end of March, almost the entire whale population of the North Atlantic meets in the waters of the Dominican Republic. In these warm and protected coastal waters, both the mating and the birth of the whale calves take place. Samaná Bay is one of the few places in the world where whale calves can be seen near their mothers. Groups of bulls can also be observed as they fight over the females. If the weather conditions are good, you will have the unique opportunity to experience the bulls' whale songs live. Become part of this unique natural spectacle!
