Join us on a journey to the Historic Barceló Museum in San Pedro de Macorís, where you can see behind the scenes of one of the most important constituent factors of the Dominican Republic: Barceló Rum.
Take a tour of the different processes involved in rum production: distillery, refining, rum cellar and packaging. You will also visit an exhibition that shows the history of rum and the Barceló family. The exhibition is located in a museum built in the shape of a rum barrel.
To top it off, a rum tasting awaits you. Afterwards you will visit the interesting cave system "Cuevas de las Maravillas" with underground rivers and dripstone caves. It is the largest developed dripstone cave in the Dominican Republic and displays several hundred pictographs created by the indigenous Taino Indians.
